EDI is a deep desalination process that combines electrodialysis and ion exchange technology. It is mainly used to prepare high-purity water or ultra-pure water. It is usually used as post-treatment unit after reverse osmosis (RO) systems.

● Eco-friendly with no chemical pollution: EDI only uses electricity to achieve online resin regeneration, completely eliminating the reliance on hazardous chemicals like acids and alkalis, achieving clean production.
● Continuous and stable operation: EDI doesn't need to stop for resin regeneration, allowing for uninterrupted water production. The water quality is extremely stable without the sudden fluctuations.
● Easy to operate with high automation: EDI unit uses a modular design and supports full-process automatic control.
● Compact footprint: EDI unit usually occupies only about a tenth of the space of a traditional mixed bed system with the same capacity.
● Low running and maintenance costs: In the long run, EDI saves on continuous chemical consumption, waste treatment costs, and energy for regeneration, making the overall running cost more advantageous. The modules have a long lifespan (usually 3-5 years or more), and replacement and maintenance are very quick.
