The University of Macau is an international public comprehensive research university, with many State Key Laboratory and interdisciplinary research centers, covering many fields such as biomedicine, environmental science, material engineering, food testing, etc. The original laboratory water supply of the school mainly relied on dispersed desktop pure water machines, and the water supply faced the following problems:

● Insufficient water quality stability: Multidisciplinary laboratories have different requirements for water quality, and the maintenance level of dispersed equipment varies. Water quality fluctuations affect the effectiveness of experimental teaching.

● Difficulty in management: Dozens of scattered devices are distributed in different buildings and laboratories, with a large workload for maintenance, calibration, and consumables replacement, and there is a risk of equipment damage caused by human factors.

● Difficulty in cost control: high prices for dispersed procurement of consumables, frequent equipment maintenance, and difficulty in achieving unified cost accounting and resource optimization.

● Low space utilization: Desktop computers occupy a large number of experimental tables, affecting laboratory layout and teaching environment. Therefore, the school needs to build a safe, reliable, economical, and easy to manage centralized pure water supply system to meet the needs of interdisciplinary and multi-level experimental teaching.
